Overview

Who doesn't want to be happy? True fulfillment and finding inner, meaningful happiness is surely the point of life, and yet we spend so little time working out how to achieve it.

This Playbook is one way to help correct that. It will be a growing collection of models to help you plug into what's really important, reduce stress, and be happy.

Let's dive in.

This Playbook includes the following sections, select a heading to jump to that section.
EXPLORE YOUR PASSION & WHY
What gets you out of bed in the morning? Start here to uncover what really matters to you.
Ikigai
You had to expect this model right? It's the classic that had to be here but implementing it is often challenging.
Happiness Model
Happiness on a two by two grid? Sure, it's ironic, but it makes the point of looking for a balance between delayed gratification and feeding your soul right now. Click through for some extra tips.

Not sure where your happiness lies or what you're really passionate about? Try this unconvential model to uncover what you really care about and explore your unmet needs.
Nonviolent Communication
Speaking of needs, take the previous model to the next level by applying this empathetic communication model, but focus on self empathy, uncovering your needs and possible ways ways to meet them.
SHIFT PERSPECTIVE
What is happiness anyway? These models might give you a new perspective on what it is and how to get it.
Satisficing

Peak-End Heuristic
The Peak-End Heuristics helps you make a distinction between your 'experiencing' and 'remembering' self. It's your 'remembering' self that will determine your happiness — so be sure to seek out the high points in an experience, steal those memorable moments amidst the grind, and find ways to end experiences on a positive note.
Stockdale Paradox
Does optimism drive happiness? Not according to this model. When faced with a challenging, ambiguous and often brutal world, maybe try the Stockdale Paradox instead.
Framing
How much of happiness is about perception and expectations? If you believe that's what it's really about, dive into Framing and Reframing to help shift your mindset and attitude.
CREATE MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS
We are social beings, so it's no surprise that our quality and depth of relationships will drive our level of happiness.
Hanlon's Razor
Inspired by Ockam's Razor, this model helps you cut through the paranoia that can eat away at your confidence, mental health and happiness. Use it often, with everyone.
